The Power of Your Profile

Your Human Design profile is a powerful lens through which you can understand your unique personality and life path.

While your Energy type determines your personal interaction strategy, your profile reveals the archetypal energies that shape your interactions with the world.

Your Profile will always be noted on any Human Design chart software, free or otherwise as ‘Profile’. Mine is 3/5 Martyr / Heretic. If you need a free detailed chart you can get one here. In BG5, these are referred to public roles.

What Are Profiles?

Our profile shapes the way we walk through the world and shows us the two major roles we are here to play.

The first line number is conscious and it represents how we see ourselves and is the underlying theme of our conscious life. .

The 2nd line number is unconscious and represents who others see us as, what we are possibly not aware of and the part of our purpose that is hidden from us.

So there in lies some of the challenge with your public profile or role in life:

  • Part of your purpose and role is conscious – you have access to it [the first number, in my example it is the 3].
  • Part of your purpose and role is unconscious – you have no access to it [this is the second line number, in my example it is the 5].

The 6 Profile Lines in Brief

  • Line 1 - Investigator [Authority] : Inquisitive, analytical, and detail-oriented, investigation, needs a solid foundation of knowledge
  • Line 2 - Hermit [Natural]: Potential talent, here to be “called out” and recognised for natural talent, absorbed in own process and loves their alone time
  • Line 3 - Martyr [Pioneer]: Determined discoverer, learns through trial & error, discovers what doesn’t work through the school of “Hard Knocks”
  • Line 4 - Opportunist [Networker]: Externalises their wisdom with their network, has great influence on others, innate friendliness and warmth
  • Line 5 - Heretic [Messenger]: here to have wide impact and universalise something new, provides practical solutions, seen as a Hero or Saviour, loves to fix and solve problems
  • Line 6 - Role Model [Leader]: an objective leader, a natural authority and capable of inspiring others as a living example.

📚 Your HD Homework 🎓

Think about how your profile aligns with your life experiences. Observe how your traits appear in your daily interactions and activities. This awareness can provide meaningful insights into your unique path.

I know that for me, I recognise that as a child and teen I didn't always allow myself the opportunity to experiment just muck around and try things out.... just in case I was 'bad' at something 🤦🏻♀️. This need to be perfect, or have it all figured out prevented me from enjoying SO many experiences.
